VISA FOR TRAVEL TO THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

Holders of Australian passports require a visa to enter the Republic of Macedonia.

Previously, visas were issued at Macedonian border crossings or on arrival at a Macedonian airport, however this is no longer the case. Macedonian diplomatic and consular missions including the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in Canberra, Australia now issue Macedonian visas.

To apply for a Macedonian visa you will require:

  • a valid passport
  • visa application form personally signed by the applicant (available from the Embassy or from tourist agencies)
  • AUD $24 (one entry visa) or AUD $48 (three entries/exits visa)

A visa can be obtained in person at the Embassy, through a tourist agency or via post.

All those electing to apply for a visa via post should send a money-order for the visa tariff, and all applications must include a pre-paid postal envelope (registered mail highly recommended) for the return of their passports. Please note that the Embassy does not take responsibility for lost passports/documentation.
